Ad Spend Figures are in . . .
IAPI has published its ad spend figures for 2006, which reflect the huge boom in the industry – €1.7 billion euros. This is nearly 17% up on 2005, but does include (for the first time) online advertising revenue – this came in at €13.5 million for the year 06 . . . it will be interesting to see the online spend for 2007 as this area is now clearly flying.
Every area shows major growth on 05 – Cinema was up by 11.3 per cent, print advertising by 16.9 per cent, radio by 17.6 per cent, and TV by 13.8 per cent.
If media / marketing / advertising recruitment is a barometer of current spend, Prosperity can report that 07 could well see far higher growth than 06!
